Meet the Team

Thomas W. LaSalle

President and Chief Executive Officer

Thomas LaSalle has more than forty years development, financing, consulting, and management experience acquired over the past forty-five years primarily through his four privately-held corporations LaSalle Development Group, Ltd., Tapestry Management, LLC/LaSalle Management Group, LLC, Tapestry Senior Housing Management, and United Equities, LLC.

LaSalle Development Group provides owner’s representation consulting services to diversified clients across the nation that include universities, colleges, schools, religious communities, health care centers, profit and non-profit companies, and Native American gaming operations.

Tapestry Management directs the property portfolio with more than 300 employees who support 600,000 square feet of office and commercial space, and more than 1,500 residential units including assisted living facilities.

Active in the industry and community, Mr. LaSalle is a licensed Certified Property Manager® and real estate broker in Minnesota. Currently he serves on the Little Earth of United Tribes Housing Board and throughout the years, Thomas LaSalle has held positions on numerous other Board positions including the Minneapolis Aquatennial, President of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, Chair of the University YMCA, Chair of Sobriety High School, President of the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, and served on the Boards of Drake Bank and the National Apartment Association.

Richard C. Bienapfl

Senior Vice President of Development

Mr. Bienapfl started in business in 1970 as a staff developer for the Bor-Son Building Corporation in government assisted housing programs.

In 1978 joined with Mr. LaSalle in developing, leasing, selling, and managing multi-family housing, office, and retail projects for investors and for its own account. His projects included new construction and substantial rehabilitation of historic structures and adaptive reuse of buildings.

In 1993 he became Vice President of Development for Grand Casinos, Inc. specifically to oversee the master planning, design, development, and construction of the $796 million Grand Casino Tunica Tunica. In 2000 the company was reconstituted as Lakes Entertainment, Inc. As Vice President of Development and Construction he went on to complete the two largest green field Native American casino resort projects ever built, the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan and Red Hawk Casino near Sacramento, California.

In 2010 he rejoined Mr. LaSalle and over the last 5 years he has directed the adaptive reuse of 4 hotels into assisted living facilities, the construction of 2 new LIHTC assisted living facilities, the rehab of a 1980’s (originally built in 1950’s) apartment building with LIHTC equity and a Section 8 HAP Contract.

In his lifelong avocation of clay target shooting, in addition to competing internationally, he has served on National and State Association Board of Directors, for over 20 years voluntarily coached youth and women shooters, and chaired numerous chartable event committees.
